Job summary

Child & Family Services, Inc. seeks an In-Home Therapy (IHT) clinician collaborator to support youth and families in meeting behavioral health needs within the home and community. The role emphasizes structured, strengths-based interventions and ongoing coordination with the IHT team, families, and community providers.

The position prioritizes cultural relevance, adherence to CBHI values, and routine documentation, with a production target of 75% of hours worked and regular clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with team members and the entire family to assist with implementation of focused interventions and behavioral techniques to enhance problem-solving, limit-setting, risk management/safety planning, and communication; build skills to strengthen the family, advance therapeutic goals, or improve interaction patterns; identify and utilize community resources; develop and maintain natural supports for the youth and parent/caregiver(s) to sustain treatment gains.
• Maintain positive working relationships with IHT team, including supervisor and clinician, and with collateral contacts and community providers.
• Support implementation of the clinician’s treatment plan to help the youth and family achieve the goals of that plan.
• Attend and assist with facilitating family therapy sessions.
• Facilitate individual sessions with clients in the community.
• Assist the clinician in implementing the therapeutic objectives of the treatment plan addressing the youth’s mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs.
• Maintain production expectations and record keeping requirements.
• Participate in clinical and administrative staff meetings.
• Engage in effective care coordination and collaboration.
• Participate in independent education and training opportunities.
• Utilize knowledge of the DSM-5 in clinical work.
• Provide psychoeducation and advocacy as appropriate.
• Maintain consistent communication with supervisor and team members and respond to work emails daily.
• Remain up to date with all paperwork and documentation needs within the IHT program.
• Maintain all scheduled sessions with youth and families and meet program expectations, including production (75% of hours worked).
• Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision and team meetings.
• Adhere to CBHI Values and IHT Practice Profile.

Interventions are designed to enhance the family’s capacity to improve the youth’s functioning in the home and community and may prevent the need for the youth’s admission to an inpatient hospital, residential treatment facility or other treatment setting.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Assist the clinician in implementing the therapeutic objectives of the treatment plan designed to address the youth’s mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs.

• Maintain consistent communication with supervisor and team members: remaining available via work cell phone and by reading and responding to work related emails daily.
• Remain up to date with all paperwork and documentation needs within the IHT program.
• Maintain all scheduled sessions with youth and families; maintain regular contact with all youth and families and consistently meet program expectations, including production (75% of hours worked).
• Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision and team meetings.
• Adhere to the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) Values and IHT Practice Profile.
