Job summary

Optimist Boys Home & Ranch is seeking a Part Time In-Home Specialist to support foster youth in the Therapeutic Shelter Home program in SPA 1 & SPA 2. This on-site role at Woodland Hills campus includes intake, safety planning, and 24/7 crisis support, with travel to Palmdale as needed.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and CA driver's license; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. The position involves coordinating with agency staff, assisting RP homes, and conducting regular visits to engage with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to travel to Palmdale as needed.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with policies.

Responsibilities

• Observe RP home for safety concerns and document findings.
• Coordinate with PAS to inform RP of arrival times.
• Email RP client contact details and required documents.
• Complete intake, safety plan, and medication records as applicable.
• Provide hygiene products, clothing, and explain incentive programs.
• Monitor medication and paperwork with RP when relevant.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call support for emergencies and crises.
• Engage with client at the RP home 3–5 times per week.
• Assist with homework and plan Get 2 Know calls with shelter providers.
• Transport clients to new placements as needed and coordinate follow-ups.
