Job summary

Optimist Boys Home & Ranch is seeking an In-Home Specialist to support foster youths in the Therapeutic Shelter Home program on Woodland Hills campus. This part-time role involves in-home engagement, intake, safety planning, and coordination with RP families in SPA 1 & SPA 2.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, be bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and capable of managing medications, documentation, and crisis response as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Training and/or experience with evidence-based practices preferred.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Support staff by observing RP homes for safety and wellbeing.
• Advise RP of estimated arrival times after client is en route.
• Email RP client information and required documents.
• Assist with intake, safety planning, and medication records when applicable.
• Provide hygiene products and emergency clothing as needed.
• Explain incentive programs and support to the client.
• Coordinate check-ins at specified times and engage with client at home 3–5 times weekly.
• Arrange activities or outings with the client as appropriate.
• Assist with homework and be available for after-hours crises.
