Job summary

Icare-Health-Network is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to run and implement therapeutic social and cognitive entertainment, as well as activities, trips and events for residents. The role requires following activity calendars and actively participating in daily social and therapeutic events.

The candidate should hold a Therapeutic Recreation Director certificate and demonstrate English proficiency across speaking, reading and writing, in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience running, developing/planning and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/ mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting.
• Possess a Therapeutic Recreation Director certificate of completion.
• Must be able to run, develop/plan and implement multiple events and programs and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment that target specific behavioral and/or patient groups as needed.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required

Responsibilities

• Complete and follow activity calendars which should have a variety of activities scheduled.
• Participates, organizes, and implements daily social and therapeutic activities and events.
