Job summary

Memorial Rehabilitation Institute seeks a Therapeutic Recreation professional to perform evaluations and design treatment plans using engaging recreational activities. You will lead individual sessions, small groups, and larger programs, monitoring progress and adjusting care accordingly.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy is required.
BLS American Heart E-Card (AHA) is required.
BLS RQI E-Card from AHA is required.
CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) credential is required.

Responsibilities

Performs evaluations and develops a treatment plan using recreational and leisure activities as modalities of treatment.
Conducts assessment and establishes recreation therapy treatment goals for individuals, groups, and families.
Coordinates therapy activities for large and small groups and monitors patient responses to encourage socialization.
Evaluates patient progress and effectiveness of interventions.
Communicates with patient and family about leisure lifestyle resources in their community.
