Job summary

Valleywise Health is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our Interdisciplinary Recreation Therapy Team in Mesa, AZ. You will conduct intake assessments, plan and run therapeutic groups, and document outcomes under supervision.

Requires a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation, CTRS or equivalent licensure, and a BLS card. One year of relevant psychiatric setting experience is preferred. Strong teamwork, time management, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required.
• Minimum of one year experience assisting with recreation activities for disabled patients in psychiatric setting.
• Certification as CTRS or relevant licensure required.
• BLS card required.

Responsibilities

• Perform recreation therapy intake assessments and documentation.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic groups and programs.
• Plan events, coordinate department activities, and supervise students.
• Maintain supplies and assist in safety and equipment management.
