PrairieCare is seeking a Recreational Therapist to implement client-centered therapy services at our Minnesota location. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program of Recreational Therapy.
• Certification from NCTRC is required.
• Student field placement in psycho-social RT is strongly preferred for new graduates.
• Ability to shift between dissimilar tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-based response to potential emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to the Standards for the Practice of Recreational Therapy and PrairieCare policies.
• Plan and lead engaging recreational therapy groups.
• Meet with patients to assess needs and develop interventions.
• Be oriented to gender, cultural differences and age-appropriate care.
