Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy or related field is required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Two or more years' experience in recreation in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete activity assessment through patient observation and interviews to develop the treatment plan.
• Plan, organize, direct and implement activities within the program to support progress toward goals.
• Lead activity sessions including therapeutic leisure skills, education and awareness.
• Instruct patients in activities such as sports, dance, music, art or relaxation techniques.
• Supervise activity staff if applicable and ensure patient safety.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
