Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a diverse massage population.
• Licensed Massage Therapist by the practicing state(s).
• BLS certification within 6 months unless exempt.
• Advanced training beyond high school in Massage Therapy.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand ~75% of the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess client status and formulate massage treatment plans according to client goals and practice standards.
• Recognize when clients cannot attain goals and consult appropriate personnel.
• Identify contraindications to massage and take precautions.
• Complete required documentation the same business day as the visit.
• Perform massage therapy using licensure-compliant methods.
• Incorporate relaxation techniques including neuromuscular, craniosacral, lymph, and reflexology.
• Tailor education to age-specific and individual client needs.
• Participate in program development and contribute to promotional materials.
