Job summary

Pasadena Villa Great Lakes, located in Battle Creek, Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for full-time hours 7:00am–3:30pm, Sunday–Thursday. The role supports a therapeutic residential facility by maintaining a clean, welcoming client environment and adhering to safety and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications include at least one year of housekeeping experience, high school diploma or equivalent preferred, valid driver's license, and ability to obtain CPR/First Aid within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year housekeeping experience, preferably in behavioral healthcare.
• High School diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License, vehicle insurance and acceptable driving record required.
• Background check, TB test and other state/federal requirements; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash; vacuum, sweep, mop, disinfect and polish assigned areas.
• Clean client rooms on discharge and after admission to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform routine cleaning in client rooms as needed.
• Monitor supplies and notify supervisor when replacements are needed.
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of cleaning supplies, away from clients.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE; participate in drills.
• Assist with fire drills, evacuations, and disaster plans.
• Monitor hazards and contraband in client areas.
• Wash, fold, store and inventory linens to provide clean bedding and towels.
• Maintain cleaning logs as required by policy.
• Follow procedures for incident reporting and maintain client confidentiality.
• Be reliable and adaptable to facility changes and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
