Qualifications

• Possession of a food handler's permit, if mandated.
• Training in food preparation for therapeutic diets preferred.
• Recent experience in institutional and special function cooking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper temperature for both hot and cold foods.
• Interpret written recipes and follow instructions.
• Break down carts and remove scraps from patient trays.
• Assemble/deliver late patient trays as needed.
• Portion and garnish food according to menus.
• Assist patients in completing menus.
• Clean and sanitize assigned areas.
• Organize, plan, and manage time effectively.
