Job summary

Seasons at Southpoint, operated by Phoenix Senior Living, is seeking a Cook to join the culinary team. The Cook will prepare meals, follow standardized recipes, and ensure sanitation and safety in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED required
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
• Maintains a current SERV Safe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become SERV Safe Certified

Responsibilities

• Preparation and Food Service: prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation of food service areas, keep records, receive, rotate and inventory products
• Adheres to posted menus and uses Phoenix standardized recipes
• Adheres to production sheets and instructions
• Prepares all special dietary needs as directed
• Prepares texture modified food as directed
• Organizes work to meet production and service requirements
• Monitors temperatures, taste and quality of food at all times
• Maintains sanitary conditions and cleans work areas
• Follow all policies regarding food handling
• Maintains cleanliness, hygiene and health standards
• Operates dish machine and sanitizes dishes as needed
• Record Keeping/Resident Services: maintain service standards and confidentiality
• Manually records equipment, refrigerator, freezer, cooking and holding temperatures
• Records food production quantities and taste evaluation sheets
• Rotates menus and production sheets
