Role & Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with students based on trust, caring, unconditional regard, and understanding of individual strengths and needs.
- Provide individual, group, and classroom interventions, maintaining accurate notes for creating Individualized Service Plans, reports, and closing statements.
- Offer therapeutic and crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
- Participate in classroom, program, and individual activities to assess student, school, and program needs.
- Support and intervene with families through home visits, parent contact, and other interventions.
- Assist students transitioning out of the Day Treatment Program by referring them to appropriate care levels.
- Collaborate to develop individualized service plans tailored to each student.
- Stay current on best practices through continuing education and seminars.
- Attend weekly clinical supervision, trainings, and events as mandated.
- Consult with the TDT Director and Regional Coordinator for emergency and high-risk situations.
Qualifications
- Ability to work full-time.
- Master's degree in psychology from an accredited institution with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents; OR
- Social work bachelor's or master's degree with at least one year of documented clinical experience with children or adolescents; OR
- Bachelor's degree in human services or special education.
- Applicants must submit official transcripts and documentation of relevant experience within 30 days of hire.
- Qualified Mental Health Professional – Child (QMHP-C) certification required at hire.
- Valid driver’s license and current negative TB screening required prior to hire.
