Job description

Northeast Center for Youth and Families seeks a full-time Clinician for their Therapeutic Day Programs in Springfield and Westfield. The TDP Clinician assists with overseeing the implementation of client treatment plans, therapeutic progress, and the overall well-being of the clients served by Therapeutic Day Program staff. The TDP Clinician also coordinates treatment plans/services to meet the needs of the clients and their families.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Writing client documentation (IAPs, discharge summaries, etc.) and facilitating meetings.
  2. Completing intake paperwork and facilitating intake meetings as needed by the Program Director (PD).
  3. Providing clinical support and feedback to program staff in the absence of the PD.
  4. Facilitating weekly psycho-educational and life skills groups and developing appropriate curriculum.
  5. Providing case management for clients, including ongoing contact with families, case workers, and other service providers.
  6. Assisting with the creation/development of monthly activity schedules that include appropriate physical and therapeutic activities.
  7. Co-leading recreational trips and activities and assisting with planning.
  8. Providing transportation for clients to and from the site (in Agency vehicles as well as personal vehicles).
  9. Assisting with training and ensuring staff compliance on all agency standards, policies, and procedures in the absence of the PD.
  10. Participating in and attending scheduled meetings, trainings, and professional development workshops.
  11. Ability to obtain required certifications and licenses, including but not limited to CPI de-escalation, CPR, and First Aid.
  12. Splitting 40 hours equally between Springfield & Westfield Programs.
  13. Performing all other duties as assigned by the PD.

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work.
  2. Two years’ experience working with youth with emotional and behavioral needs preferred.
  3. Strong writing skills.
  4. Ability to travel between TDP sites.

***If transporting clients in a personal vehicle: Must have verification of adequate personal auto insurance on the vehicle(s) to be used, including, at minimum, Optional Bodily Injury to Others (coverage part 5 on a Mass Auto policy) limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident, and Damage to Someone Else's Property (part 4) limits of at least $100,000.
