Therapeutic Community Substance Use Counselor (Correctional Program Coordinator) - Noble

Join us to apply for the Therapeutic Community Substance Use Counselor (Correctional Program Coordinator) role at Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services.

This position involves providing evidence-based treatment to offenders in Ohio's prisons, focusing on substance abuse recovery programs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing alcohol and drug group counseling and ancillary services to your caseload
  • Completing assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in electronic health records
  • Monitoring attendance and participation in substance abuse programs
  • Providing continuing care planning
  • Supervising volunteers and overseeing support meetings
Job Details:
  • Location: Noble Correctional Institution, Caldwell, OH
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (hours may vary)
  • Pay: $27.83/hour
  • Union: SEIU/1199
Qualifications:
  • Current certification or credentials in one of the following: LCDC II/III, LICDC, LISW, PCC, PC, LSW, Licensed Physician, Psychologist, RN, LMFT, IMFT
  • Minimum qualifications will be evaluated considering experience, education, and disciplinary record
Additional Information:

Selected candidates will complete approximately 4 weeks of training at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction's Corrections Training Academy in Orient, OH.
