Job summary

Family Pride of Northeast Ohio, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a TBS Staff (QMHS) to provide community-based behavioral health services to clients and families, focusing on daily living skills, school, work and home integration.

Qualifications

• At least a high school diploma.
• Minimum four years of experience in a human service related field.

• Ability to interpret and understand client’s and identify a unique approach to treatment and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain timely records and comply with organizational rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with community representatives and family members for client needs.
• Utilize supervision to maintain a well-balanced caseload.
• Provide prevention interventions for mental health/SUD programming.
• All other duties as assigned.

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, TBS Staff (QMHS) provides specific, measurable, and individualized services to clients and families in a community-based setting that focuses on client’s ability to succeed in the community, identify and access necessary services, and improve daily skills within school, work, home and community for Family Pride of Northeast Ohio, Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop rapport with client and family to actively engage in activities to improve integration into the school, work, home and community.
• Assist client in achieving personal independence and daily living skills as identified by the individual and parent/guardian
• Link client and/or family with natural support systems in the community as well as formal community services.
• Provide mental health/SUD case management interventions that address symptoms, behaviors, assists an individual in eliminating barriers to seeking or maintaining education and employment.
• Evaluating client and treatment progress for improvement of strategies and techniques.
• Operating under all appropriate organization’s rules and regulations and maintaining records of the clients in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with community representatives and/or family members on behalf of client’s needs.
• Utilizing supervision to maintain a well-balanced caseload
• Provide prevention interventions for mental health/SUD programming as directed.
• All other duties as assigned.
• For Parenting Education Programs
• Responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating parent education programs aimed at strengthening family engagement and supporting positive parenting practices.
• The individual will be responsible for all required data collection and accurate record keeping and documentation of all parent education programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum four years of experience in a human service related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, child development or related field from an accredited college or institution is preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL

Work Environment: This position operates primarily in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems. Occasional travel to community sites, partner organizations, and board meetings is required.

Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use hands to operate office equipment, and communicate effectively in person and via electronic means. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds may be required.

Sensory Requirements: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Requires visual acuity to read and interpret documents, data, and computer screens.

Schedule and Hours: This is a full-time, exempt position. This position is expected to work a standard workweek, with occasional evening or weekend hours to attend meetings, events, or respond to urgent organizational needs.

Travel: The position requires local and regional travel to meetings, events, and partner sites. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for conferences, training, or funder meetings. Staff must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Ohio, meet insurability requirements under the organization’s vehicle use policy, maintain appropriate auto insurance coverage, and have access to a reliable vehicle.
