Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking an enthusiastic CCDI Unit Coordinator to support our activities program in our Iowa communities. This role focuses on implementing engaging activities, coordinating resources, and maintaining records to meet each resident’s needs.

You will work closely with residents, families, and the healthcare team to promote meaningful daily activities in a compassionate setting. The ideal candidate has a preferred state-approved Activities Director Course or a Bachelor’s in

Qualifications

• State-approved Activities Director Course or Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care.
• Strong empathy, respect, patience and discretion.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the activity director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident’s needs.
• Maintain the resources needed for each resident’s activity needs.
• Assist the activity director with required record keeping.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
