Job summary

The University of St. Thomas (MN) invites applications for a full-time, 10-month Teaching Professor position in Theology for the Dougherty Family College.

This non-tenure-track, renewable role involves in-person teaching of 100-level Theology, academic advising, and mentoring a cohort of students. Online January course and a summer online course are required on a rotating basis with additional compensation.

Qualifications

• Proven record of teaching theology and fostering inclusive classrooms.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in pedagogy.
• Experience mentoring and advising a student cohort.
• Ability to teach in-person and online courses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach three sections of Theology in Fall and three in Spring.
• Online course in January and a summer online course every other year.
• Provide intensive mentoring and advising to students (≈25 mentees).
• Engage in service to college and university, including program development.
