Qualifications

• Education: Ph.D. preferred; Ph.D. candidates with dissertation in process may be considered.
• Experience: effective university-level teaching and mentoring in theology, philosophy, Biblical languages, or related areas.
• Specialized Knowledge: knowledge of theology, philosophy, and Biblical languages; ability to teach Biblical Hebrew.
• Proficiencies: proficient with Blackboard, Banner, databases, spreadsheets and word processing; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Teach the three-semester Biblical Hebrew sequence.
• Teach advanced reading classes and upper-level electives in Biblical Hebrew.
• Teach classes in Biblical studies and Theology across courses.
• Engage in departmental planning, course assessment, and student advising.
