Job description

Directlyassist their guests with front of the line access for rides, food, and shows while ensuring an upbeat, exciting, once in a lifetime experience.They will look to you for their questions. They will expect you to know all the answers – and if you don’t at least you’ll know where to find them.The VIP Tour Guide is knowledgeable about the park and its many options to enhance the guest experience. You will become a group’s “best” friend for a day.Additionally, you may be required to perform the duties of the position in varied weather conditions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The VIP Tour Guide will be an ambassador for the park to private groups and families.
  • Assist the VIP Coordinator with any additional Hospitality/Tours.
  • The VIP Tour Guide is expected to be fulltime during the season, and to be able to work in other areas of the Rides Department in the absence of a Tour.
  • Always work with a smile by interacting with guests in a fun, informative and respectful way.
  • Greet guests upon arrival to theme park.
  • Adheres to all Six Flags and departmental policies, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality and grooming guidelines.
  • Develop a positive relationship with all in-park departments.
  • Displays a commitment to our guest privacy by refraining from discussing the specific guests who are hosted during a VIP Tour.
  • Complete all required paperwork for the tour after the tour has endedand submit to VIP Senior Supervisor.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to the ever-changing needs of our operation and the plans of our Guests.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the park.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, possibly working long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language. Bi-lingual is helpful, but not required.
  • Must have regular and predictable attendance with reliable transportation.
  • Must always have a positive attitude.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, or maintain continuous movement for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift and carry 25lbs over 25 feet over various surfaces.
  • Must be able to climb stairs carrying up to 25 lbs.
  • May be regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions including extreme cold or heat.
