Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Tampa seeks a dedicated Roofer to perform roofing and carpentry for in-park builds, repairs, and installations, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for guests and team members.

You’ll work from blueprints or sketches, select materials, and maintain tools while meeting safety policies; you must be 18+, have a high school diploma, 3+ years of onsite roofing or carpentry, and be able to work varied shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years onsite roofing or carpentry experience.
• Cabinet making and countertop fabrication experience.
• Experience with solid surface and laminate countertops.
• Experience in roof repairs.
• Experience in drywall installation and repair.
• Experienced in concrete work.
• Able to read blueprints or detailed sketches.
• Able to operate and maintain power and hand tools safely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Able to work at heights up to 100 ft.
• Work on scaffolding up to 24 ft.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Able to climb and work from ladders.
• Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations.
• Comfortable working around water.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
• Willing to train on and properly use protective gear.
• Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor.
• Available to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of general roofing/carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Select proper materials for jobs
• Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required
