Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is hiring a Roofer to support Busch Gardens in Tampa. The role involves roofing and carpentry for in-park builds, repairs, and installations, with attention to safety and quality to ensure rides and facilities are ready for guests.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years on-site roofing/carpentry, cabinetry fabrication skills, and ability to read blueprints, operate tools, and work in varied weather and heights. The team offers comprehensive benefits and park perks.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.

• At least three years of onsite experience in roofing or carpentry.
• Cabinet making experience; cabinet building and framing; fabrication of countertops.

Roofer

What You Get To Do:

As a Roofer you’ll roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and perform all commercial painting needs in order to provide a once in a lifetime memory for guests and team members alike. We’re looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go! You will:

• Perform all functions of general roofing/carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Select proper materials for jobs
• Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required

What It Takes To Succeed:

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least three years of onsite experience in the roofing trade or in the carpentry field
• Cabinet making experience; i.e. cabinet building and framing; fabrications of countertops, and more)
• Experience with solid surface and laminate counter top fabrication
• Experience in roof repairsExperience in drywall installation and repair
• Experienced in all phases of concrete work
• Able to work from blueprints or in-depth sketches
• Able to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe condition
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Comfortable working at heights up to 100ft
• Comfortable building and working on scaffolding up to 24ft
• Able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Able to climb and work off of ladders
• Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
• Comfortable working around water
• Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
• Able to train on and properly use protective gear
• Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
• Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours including opening and closing shifts, weekends and holidays.
