College of DuPage is seeking a Theatre Assistant (SC1THEATSPARTS) on campus to support production and stage operations. The role includes constructing and painting scenery, setting up props, and operating lighting and sound equipment for performances. This student position requires enrollment in coursework with G.P.A.

stipulations and may be eligible for Federal Work Study. Evening and weekend productions are expected, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour for student workers.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring or 1 credit hour for Summer; cumulative GPA 2.0+; first semester GPA waiver; Federal Work Study eligibility enables Federal Work Study position.

Responsibilities

• Construction, painting and setup of state scenery and props.
• Hanging, focusing and operation of theater lighting equipment.
• Setup and operation of theater sound equipment.
• General maintenance of shop and stage areas.
