Grand Rapids Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Theater classes on the Grand Rapids campus during the winter semester. The candidate should be passionate about teaching and dedicated to student success.

The role is determined semester by semester with classes offered in various modalities, including Hybrid, Online & Virtual, following the college’s policies and calendars.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Theater or related field is required for most courses; a Bachelor’s with relevant experience covers some courses.
• Teaching experience at a community college is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Theater course offerings at GRCC as assigned.
• Follow the required syllabus template and use department textbooks.
• Meet classes as scheduled and evaluate student outcomes per contract.
• Maintain accurate records and respond to student communications.
