The Village is looking for Line Cooks:

  • Job Type: Full Time orPart Time
  • Shifts: Daylight and Evening

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare and cook specific meals as directed by dietitian.
  • Do prep assignments and re-stock items to prepare for the next meal.
  • Clean work area and equipment; clean and sanitize kitchen after each meal; and assigned daily cleaning.
  • Following posted schedule for cleaning major equipment, work areas, and storage areas.

What You Will Bring:

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to navigate/move about the facility to deliver meals and take meal orders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, safety and presentation
  • Experience cooking lunch, dinner and catering events
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
