Job summary

W3Global seeks a VDC Manager to lead the VDC department, mentor the VDC team, and drive efficient processes toward project milestones.

You will coordinate with project leaders, manage VDC budgets, and ensure proper use of BIM tools like Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience with Revit
• 5+ years experience as a Project Coordinator
• Electrical construction experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience managing a VDC department is a plus
• Associate's degree in computer Drafting or Construction Management is a plus
• Field experience in the construction trade is a plus

Responsibilities

• Hold direct reports accountable for managing production
• Guide the development of the VDC strategic plan with management
• Facilitate cross pollination of the VDC facets
• Foster innovation within the department from the VDC perspective
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal clients for efficient VDC processes
• Identify and mitigate VDC risks based on experience
• Provide leadership to department heads supporting the company's culture and values
• Share knowledge across the organization and contribute to ideas for innovation
• Verify efficiency tools are used by all
• Develop project VDC budget estimates and review budget estimates
• Route opportunities to the appropriate coordinator
• Analyze and recreate project schedules
• Maintain a man-loaded schedule for current and future projects
• Create cost code breakdowns

• Hold direct reports accountable for managing production
• Help to guide the development of the VDC strategic plan through coordinating with the management of the group.
• Facilitates cross pollination of the VDC facets
• Facilitates innovation within the department from the VDC perspective
• Emphasizes and cultivates innovation mentality on a broader department wide
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal clients that facilitate efficient VDC processes.
• Identify and mitigate VDC risks based on experience.
• Leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company's culture, mission and values.
• Facilitates the sharing of knowledge and experience across the organization
