Job Overview

The Springs Resort and Spa is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring all equipment and utensils are ready for use. Key Responsibilities
  1. Cleaning & Maintenance: Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, floors, surfaces, and equipment; dispose of waste and recycling properly.
  2. Stock & Supply Management: Unload and store deliveries; ensure supplies are stocked; organize storage areas.
  3. Basic Food Preparation: Assist with peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients; ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
  4. Health & Safety: Follow food hygiene and safety regulations; report maintenance issues or hazards; handle cleaning chemicals safely.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (training may be provided).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good physical stamina, with the ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy items.
