Rosewood Miramar Beach, a Rosewood Hotel and The Revere Room, is looking for an exceptional Host. Celebrating the best of the American Riviera, The Revere Room highlights local-first ingredients from nearby farms and purveyors. A truly sustainable concept ensures the freshest of flavors, made even better by the unparalleled views of Miramar Beach. The Host is responsible for the overall guest dining experience within the restaurant outlet, including providing information and support to guests both on the phone and in person, managing reservations and seating, and acting as an advocate for the restaurant to develop guest relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  2. Ensure standards are maintained at a superior level daily.
  3. Maintain knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table setup, and dress code.
  4. Greet all guests, be knowledgeable about the area, and provide information when asked.
  5. Receive calls and accurately book reservations.
  6. Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, glassware, and garnishes.
  7. Know all menu items, prices, and preparation methods.
  8. Abide by liquor regulations, including service to minors and intoxicated persons.
  9. Be aware of VIPs as determined by Hotel & Club Members.
  10. Maintain equipment properly and use it as intended.
  11. Be familiar with POS and manual systems.
  12. Exhibit friendly, helpful, and courteous manners with guests and colleagues.
  13. Flexibility in attitude, approach, and working hours is required due to variable business levels.
  14. Perform any other duties as required.
Confidentiality:

Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information concerning the company, guests, and staff.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow-up.
  • Calm problem-solving skills and good judgment.
  • Ability to understand guest needs and work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
Technical Skills:
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment, follow recipes, and work under pressure.
Language:

Fluency in English is required; additional languages are preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds, work in hot and noisy environments, and communicate effectively.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Certifications.
  • Minimum age of 21 years for alcohol service.
Experience:
  • At least two years in restaurant service, preferably in luxury or hotel settings.

The pay range is $19.07 to $19.57/hour plus tips. This is a part-time, mid-senior level role in the hospitality industry.
