Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the overall construction of a utility/water line project in Pennsylvania. This position works 100% at the project/construction site.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for overall field operations of a project from the standpoint of safety, quality control, scheduling, contracts, conformances to drawings, specifications, and customer relations.
  2. Ability to work independently and utilize value judgment without direct supervision.
  3. Prepares contract extras and progress payments for client approval working with Project Manager.
  4. Utilizes expertise to ensure contractor work is correct, safe, and meets the intent of the drawings.
  5. Maintain comfortable business relations with the clients.
  6. Meet project schedule.
  7. Provide proper correspondence with clients such that all project issues are handled in a clear, concise and friendly manner.
  8. Maintain responsive, smooth relations with parallel operation within The Perry Group.
  9. Maintains on-site records and files per The Perry Group document control requirements.
  10. Understand The Perry Group Quality Policy Statement.
  11. Follow the Quality Systems Work Instructions.

Accountability:

  1. Provide accurate information in the Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports.
  2. Monitoring construction schedule with/for the Construction Manager.
  3. Maintain responsive, smooth relations with parallel operation within The Perry Group.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Six (6) or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or,
  2. Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience with an Associate degree or,
  3. Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

The Bachelor or Associate degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Strong civil and underground utilities work experience
  2. OSHA 30
