The Engineer Supervisor is responsible for ensuring proper operations, maintenance, service, and repair of all equipment, supporting Aimbridge Hospitality's goals of guest satisfaction, cost control, and profitability. They oversee and participate in the Preventative Maintenance program, ensuring all rooms and public spaces meet company standards.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree with 3+ years of experience; or a 4-year college degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certifications as required by federal, state, or local authorities related to trade skills (e.g., HVAC, electrical, pool operation).
  • Valid licenses to operate and repair hotel boilers and chillers, as required by law.
  • Valid driver's license for applicable state.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Office programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate options quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work under stress and maintain composure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand complex data and information.
  • Effective listening and understanding skills.
  • Basic arithmetic and financial understanding.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, friendly, and courteous service to guests and staff.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be flexible to work weekends or holidays as needed.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
  • Follow all safety and operational standards.
  • Complete required certifications (Food Handlers, CPR, First Aid, etc.).
  • Train and supervise engineering staff, manage schedules, and review hours for payroll.
  • Focus on guest service and departmental contributions to guest satisfaction scores.
  • Motivate, coach, and evaluate staff; conduct performance reviews.
  • Participate in hiring processes and staff training.
  • Respond to emergencies and maintain safety protocols.
  • Manage energy consumption and participate in safety drills.
  • Ensure Preventative Maintenance is properly implemented.
  • Handle guest maintenance requests promptly.
  • Maintain equipment manuals and warranty records.
  • Respond to alarms, determine emergency status, and report findings.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with staff and management.
  • Ensure pool and spa compliance with health codes.
  • Use radio etiquette properly and lead safety committees.
  • Conduct property inspections and manage security controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
