Our CPG and Beauty client is currently seeking a Packaging Designer.

This is a 6 month plus W2 contract that sits hybrid in El Segundo, CA.

Sr. Graphic Designer (Packaging)

Job Description :

Package Design Experience :

• Create 2D and 3D renderings for product packaging
• Laying out artwork
• Ensure packaging designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and guidelines
• Pack up files to send to suppliers
• Understand printing deco treatments, pantones, foil, etc.
• Conceptual design for secondary packaging
• Experience in creating mood boards that speak to the concept
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and manufacturing, to understand packaging requirements and project goals
• Conduct design research and stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovative packaging designs
• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of packaging designs
• Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all packaging designs meet quality standards and are error-free
• Be aware of accurate project timelines and deliver designs within specified deadlines
• Stay current on industry trends and follow brand guidelines
• Illustrate a brand pattern for use across all mediums

Requirements :

• 4+ years of experience in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Packaging Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative packaging designs (please include portfolio links in PDF form)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino or SolidWorks, InDesign, Dimension) and other relevant design software
• Experience creating 2D and 3D renderings for product packaging
• Strong understanding of packaging design principles, materials, and production processes
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to managers
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetics
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• CPG or Beauty Industry experience preferred
• Experience using TAG (software to upload / approve artwork) is a plus
