Job summary

The Goddard School in Colorado is seeking fun, patient, and energetic teachers to join our team. Teachers will lead daily activities, create meaningful lesson plans, and support children's development in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• BA or higher including 18 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education with 18 credit hours relevant to young children.
• At least 1 year of experience with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
• Completion or enrollment in ECE 101 / 103 / 111 or level two trainings on PDIS.

Responsibilities

• Diaper changes and potty training as needed in classrooms under age 3.
• Develop and implement lesson plans.
• Meet individual needs of children.
• Communicate positively with parents, colleagues and students.
• Attend staff trainings and meetings.
• Arrange classroom spaces to support developmental goals.

Teacher daily duties include:

• Diaper changes throughout the day/potty training, if a Resource Teacher or in classrooms under the age of three
• Developing lesson plans
• Meeting the individual needs of the children
• Positive parent, colleague and student communication
• Participation in staff and training meetings
• Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
• Building teamwork

Lead Qualified

• A Bachelors degree or high in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Child Development or a related field or
• BA or higher in a related field that includes 18 Credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education that includes 18 semesters hours of courses directly related to young children birth to age 8. or
• At least 1 year of experience working with children ages 6wks-6yrs of age and
• Has completed or is currently taking ECE 101 and ECE 103 or 111 or level two trainings on PDIS
