The Fives Event Manager is responsible for the day-of event execution, ensuring every detail runs smoothly and every guest feels cared for. This person acts as the main point of contact for clients during their event and collaborates closely with our culinary, operations, and events teams to bring the client’s vision to life.

The Fives Event Manager is responsible for the day-of event execution, ensuring every detail runs smoothly and every guest feels cared for. This person acts as the main point of contact for clients during their event and collaborates closely with our culinary, operations, and events teams to bring the client’s vision to life.

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities

The Primary job of The Fives Event Manager includes but is not limited to:

  • Schedule and conduct the final venue walkthrough with clients
  • Schedule and conduct ceremony rehearsals
  • Serve as a liaison between The Fives, clients, guests, staff, and vendors
  • Manage event timeline during events and communicate with event team supervisors regarding any changes or shifts
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure overall event success
  • Coordinate and communicate expectations with vendors before event
  • Schedule and host weekly open tour times
  • Attend department-specific Level 10 meetings
  • Maintain client satisfaction throughout the event
  • Prepare event manager packets and expo sheets
  • Program bar tablets and prepare cash banks as needed
  • Create and print custom menu cards
  • Cross-train at all our venues and work event manager shifts as needed

Required:

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in events or hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and kneel, stoop or stand for 8-12 hours
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Insurable driving record

Preferred:

  • Degree or coursework in hospitality
  • ServSafe Certified
  • Familiarity with CaterEase or similar event software
