Job summary

The D Las Vegas is seeking a Cocktail Server to roam the casino floor and assigned beverage areas, providing timely service to Guests. You will log drinks, assist teammates, and ensure adherence to service standards and safety policies.

Qualified candidates will be at least 21, able to obtain work cards, and comfortable working weekends/holidays in a fast-paced casino environment. Training through the property's academy is possible as assigned.

• Must have strong English reading and speaking skills and communicate effectively with Guests and Colleagues.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced casino environment.
• Must be 21+ and able to obtain required work cards.
• Follows Gaming Control Board rules and company policies.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold the Company's Service Standards at all times.
• Collaborate with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks and supervisors to ensure smooth service.
• Enforce responsible alcohol service and address intoxicated guests when necessary.
• Take and log every guest drink; patrol assigned area and clear cups around slots and tables.

JOB TITLE: Cocktail Server

DEPARTMENT: Beverage -Service Bar

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for walking the casino floor and/or assigned area to ensure Beverage Service is provided to our Guests in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Supportingand promoting the Company Service Standards at all times
• Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
• Strictly adheres to responsible alcohol service standards and is able to successfully "slow down a guest" or cut off an intoxicated guest when necessary.
• Roundand write down every guest drink. Must walk assigned section as well as clear all empty cups fromdesignated area, pit tables and on or around slot machines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and speak English and communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form
• Understand and comply with all company, departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies and procedures
• Ability to multitask
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift to include weekends and holidays
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with Team Members and Guests
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to obtain required work cards

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Complete property academy as assigned

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking and standing for extended periods of time
• Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and may contain second hand smoke
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests
