Job summary

Sunriver Resort is seeking a Cove Supervisor to lead the Food & Beverage Outlet team and drive exceptional guest service. You will assist in managing operations, controlling inventory, and coordinating budget initiatives while maintaining Sunriver’s core values and AAA Four Diamond standards.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • At least one year Food & Beverage experience preferred.
  • At least one year of customer service experience required.
  • At least one year of supervisor experience required.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and POS system(s).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Assists the manager with leading and supervising the outlet team.
  • Ensures supplies/goods are properly stocked; assists with ordering supplies/goods as necessary.
  • Assists with coordinating inventory control.
  • Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
  • Assists manager with new hire and termination paperwork.
  • Participates in staff meetings and agenda.
  • Attends mandatory monthly department meetings and appropriate resort and division meetings.
  • Reports any needed repair immediately to Maintenance using correct procedures.
  • Ensures proper bookkeeping and resort policies are followed.
  • Responsible for daily reports and manager log book entries.
  • Performs all staff duties as necessary including desk, lifeguarding, bartending, serving, etc.
  • Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment.
  • Works closely with Red Cross of Oregon to ensure lifeguard policies are met and followed.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of pool health & safety standards.
  • Coordinates facility evacuations as needed for weather or health threats.
  • Assists the Cove Manager with preparing and monitoring budget of expenditures and projected incomes.
  • Monitors associate time punches daily.
  • Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations.
  • Works with HR to recruit and hire staff when the need arises.
  • Acts as the Manager on Duty in manager’s absence.
  • Ensures service standards are being applied by all team members.
  • Ensures cleanliness and safety of the outlet.
  • Promotes high associate morale.
  • Recommends discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
  • Assists with the coaching and counseling of team.
  • Assists with completing performance reviews.
  • Responsible for the achievement of department goals and objectives.
  • Assists the Cove Manager with continual training.
  • Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of food & beverage trends.

Overview

The Cove Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the designated Food & Beverage Outlet team. S/he will work with the team to ensure guest satisfaction and optimum performance. The Outlet Supervisor will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.The Cove Supervisor will always conduct them self in a manner that supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment.

The Cove Supervisor shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High school education or equivalent required
  • At least one year Food & Beverage experience preferred
  • At least one year of customer service experience required
  • At least one year of supervisor experience required
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Proficient in the use of computers and POS system(s)

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must have excellent basic math skills
  • Must possess valid OLCC card upon hire
  • Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire
  • Must obtain a lifeguard certification from a recognized organization
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Must have excellent leadership skills
  • Must be a positive example for staff
  • Must have excellent phone etiquette
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
  • Must be highly detail oriented

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat);
  • Must be able to personally lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis;
  • Must be able to occasionally lift over 40 lbs with assistance;
  • Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout your shift
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces and reach on a continuous basis.
