Job Description

Hawaiian Waters line cooks focus on preparing and producing food and beverages served in our waterpark. Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, maintaining cleanliness, and organizing tasks efficiently. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a Food Handler Permit.

Essential Functions
  • Check inventories and prepare food based on daily forecast
  • Prep kitchen and food items for the day
  • Operate smoker and other equipment
  • Stock supplies and check soda syrup and ice machine
  • Manage fridge and freezer stock using FIFO
  • Prepare toppings and food items like pizzas and pretzels
  • Prepare catering meals as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Set a good example as a role model and leader
  • Track food waste and perform equipment maintenance
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Experience in food service or supervisory roles preferred
  • Ability to work independently and follow guidance
  • Effective communication skills
  • Energetic and attentive, capable of working in extreme conditions
  • Willing to obtain required certifications such as Food Handler's Permit and TABC Alcohol Seller/Server Permit
Physical Demands
  • Stand or walk for long periods
  • Lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds
