Job summary

BTW OR LLC dba Baitong on Wheels is seeking a qualified Thai Specialty Cook to join our culinary team in Bend, OR. The successful candidate will cook Thai dishes, help design menus, and ensure consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.

• Present dishes with attractive displays and ensure high quality and sanitary standards.
• Check quality of raw and cooked products and manage stock levels and ordering.
• Train junior kitchen staff in Thai culinary arts and manage production schedules.

Position: Full-Time Thai Specialty Cook

Annual Wage: $44,000 – $49,000, depending on experience.

Job Duties

• Prepares and cooks food using Thai culinary expertise.
• Collaborates with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, considering seasonal availability of ingredients and the expected number of customers.
• Determines how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.
• Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
• Checks the quantity and quality of received products.
• Checking stock levels and ordering supplies
• Trains less skilled kitchen staff in Thai culinary arts.
• Determines production schedules and staff requirements to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Follows standards and regulations regarding sanitary practices.
• Maintains high standards of quality control, hygiene, health, and safety.
• At least 24 months of experience in any occupation demonstrating Thai cooking expertise (equivalent to at least two years of practical Thai culinary experience).
• Demonstrated knowledge of authentic Thai ingredients, recipes, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
