Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Farmington, NM is seeking a Counter-Sorter to efficiently sort and record incoming soiled textiles, identify damaged items, and transfer textiles to the appropriate departments. The role supports production flow and requires teamwork in a busy industrial laundry environment.

You will stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and follow PPE and safety procedures while maintaining accuracy in sorting and recording items as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Support production flow.
• Flexibility to perform different tasks within the team based on daily operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Open bag of soiled textiles, then sort them by type, size and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer them into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems.
• Comply with Spindle Job Classification efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Follow policy and procedures related to wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Will function in a team environment.
