Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Counter-Sorter to handle, count, sort and record incoming soiled textiles from customers. You will identify damaged textiles and prepare materials for transfer to other departments, reporting to the Production Manager.

You will open bags, sort by type/size/color, count textiles either manually or electronically, and input data into sorting systems. This role requires teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and updating records for quality control.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks during the shift.
• Ability to sort textiles by type, size and color.
• Capable of counting textiles manually or electronically and entering data.

Responsibilities

• Open bags of soiled textiles and sort by type, size and color.
• Count textiles and transfer into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record in systems.
• Comply with efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Follow PPE policies and wear required gear.
• Work effectively in a team.
