Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in San Antonio, TX hires a Soil Counter/Sorter to handle, count, sort, and record incoming soiled textiles from the customer. You will identify damaged textiles and prepare items for transfer to other departments.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position focusing on accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a production laundry environment serving diverse customers including hotels and hospitals.

Qualifications

• Color and size recognition; accurate counting required.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Open bag of soiled textiles, then sort them by type, size and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically, and transfer them into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems.
• Meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Follow instructions as directed by supervision.
