Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Counter-Sorter to sort and record incoming soiled textiles from customers, identifying damaged items and routing textiles to the appropriate departments. You will report to the Production Manager and work in a team-oriented environment in our industrial laundry setting.

Responsibilities include opening bags, sorting by type/size/color, counting textiles manually or electronically, and ensuring accuracy in sorting systems while following safety and PPE policies.

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• Team Player: Works well as a member of a group.
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.

Responsibilities

• Open bag of soiled textiles, then sort them by type, size and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer them into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems.
• Comply with Spindle Job Classification efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Follow policy and procedures related to wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Will function in a team environment.
