Job summary

Secant Group is seeking a Prototyping Technician to collaborate with the product development team, setting up textile equipment and running development samples according to engineering specifications. The role involves interpreting specs, operating looms and braiding machines, and ensuring quality through in-process adjustments.

You should be able to read Quality Manuals and SOPs, with a basic understanding of GMP and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of textile processes preferred but not required.
• Must read and comprehend Quality Manual and SOPs, protocols, and other established procedures.
• Basic GMP understanding and ability to work in regulated environments.
• Strong communication with peers and management; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up looms, knitting, or braiding machines to complete development runs based on engineering specs.
• Read and interpret engineering specifications for machine setup.
• Operate machines to produce prototype samples and adjust processes for quality.
• Follow SOPs and R&D specs; document steps for repeatability.
• Collaborate with operations to scale up sample runs and provide feedback for warp/beam creation.
