Job summary

Gaston College's Textile Technology Center seeks a full-time technician to support textile product development. You will operate equipment for yarn/material processing, set up machines, and document procedures to meet specifications.

Duties include safe operation, reading work orders, maintaining equipment across Carding, Drawing, Roving, Spinning, Winding, and Twisting, and producing quality material. You will also maintain records and participate in meetings.

Qualifications

• Three years of textile manufacturing experience in carding, spinning and twisting required.
• Experience in drawing, MJS spinning, and winding preferred.
• Experience in maintaining carding, spinning, twisting, and winding equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain textile processing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Read work orders and procedures to ensure correct machine set-up.
• Document procedures and equipment specifications as needed.
• Support development of new textile products and maintain quality records.
