Qualifications

• Experience in a textile laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail is essential for accurate test results.
• Basic math skills are necessary for calculations and data recording.
• Basic computer skills are needed to enter data and generate reports.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are important for documenting results and collaborating with teams.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Pass Color Blindness test is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate laboratory equipment such as scales, pH meter, and pipettes.
• Perform dyeings and analytical tests on dye classes and pigments for various substrates.
• Conduct tests including weight per gallon, % solids, % moisture, dust, solubility, wash tests, crocking tests, and viscosity.
• Record, analyze, and report test results in lab records.
• Assist in establishing certificates of analysis (COA).
• Match customer samples for shade according to specifications.
• Maintain organized filing of samples and test results.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Organize daily/weekly/monthly tasks for efficiency.
