Job summary

Valdese Weavers in Perkins - Valdese, NC 28690 is seeking a yarn-handler to return yarn to the correct bin locations following ISO procedures. You will operate filling buggy, cherry picker, and tablet/scan gun to move yarn accurately.

The role emphasizes safety and accuracy, requires color discernment and a PIT license, and offers overtime, shift premium for 2nd/3rd shifts, and an attendance bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to discern colors and pass a color blindness test.
• Must have a license to operate PIT equipment (e.g., cherry picker).
• Good communication with team.
• Basic reading and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine yarn put up from Supervisor and locate high/low locations.
• Place yarn into the correct bin location and keep bins neat.
• Ensure SAP transactions are performed correctly and yarn adjustments made.
• Return empty yarn buggy to the assigned area.
• Keep yarn bins clean; bag white yarn if not bagged.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, including 5S.
• Work scheduled overtime.
