Job summary

Goodwill Industries Group seeks a Part Time associate at the Valparaiso store to receive, sort, price, tag, and stock donated items. You will help move donations from the drive-thru to the sales floor and support a fast-paced retail operation.

Role reports to Store Manager and Production Manager with performance reviews annually. Pay ranges from $11 to $17 per hour based on PPH milestones and tenure, with progressive steps as you improve productivity.

Qualifications

• Adherence to standard retail practices and dress code.
• Familiarity with current clothing, shoe styles, furniture, toys, brand names, etc.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
• Tactful communication with the public and co-workers.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules.

Responsibilities

• Sort, price, and tag donated textiles at a minimum rate of 80 pieces per hour (PPH).
• Retrieve Textile Production Sheet at the beginning of each shift and turn it in upon completion.
• Transport carts containing items to be processed.
• Process donations promptly.
• Dispose of trash into designated receptacles as needed.
• Organize racks for efficient stocking.
