Goodwill Industries Group in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Store Textile Sorter to receive, sort, price and stock donated items while keeping the flow from drive-thru to the sales floor moving quickly. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, aiming for 80 PPH with progressive pay raises to $17/hour for higher performance, and you will report to the Store Manager.

This role emphasizes accuracy, organization and customer-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Adherence to standard retail practices and dress code.
• Familiarity with current clothing, shoe styles, furniture, toys, brand names, etc.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
• Tactful communication with the public and co-workers.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules.

Responsibilities

• Sort, price, and tag donated textiles at a minimum rate of 80 pieces per hour (PPH), maintaining quality standards.
• Retrieve Textile Production Sheet at the beginning of each shift and turn it in upon completion.
• Transport carts containing items to be processed.
• Process donations promptly.
• Dispose of trash into designated True Trash receptacles as needed.
• Organize racks for efficient stocking.
• Daily recording of PPH for tracking purposes is mandatory.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
