Job summary

Perry Ellis International in Miami, FL seeks an Associate Textile Designer to develop original prints and surface artwork for men’s, women’s, golf, Latin, and sleepwear lines. You’ll translate seasonal trends into artwork, clean files, and ensure production-ready assets delivered on tight deadlines.

You will collaborate under the Art Director with a focus on color reduction, repeat patterns, and technical prep for global factories. A 1–2+ year print experience and a strong portfolio are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of applied print, textile, or surface design in the apparel/retail industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design, Print Design, Illustration, or related field.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) is required.
• Experience with NedGraphics, Adobe Firefly, or AI-driven artwork tools is a plus.
• Portfolio demonstrating hand-artistry, repeat patterns, and color-reduced prints.

Responsibilities

• Original Artwork & Print Creation: Create original textile prints, patterns, and surface artwork for multiple brands.
• Production & Technical Preparation: Execute color-reducing, cleaning artwork, indexing colors, and production-ready mechanicals.
• Multi-Brand Execution: Manage high-volume workload across Perry Ellis, golf, lifestyle, and licensed apparel.
• Trend Translation & Research: Research macro print, color, and textile trends to inform patterns.
• Archive & Asset Management: Maintain print libraries and organize assets for cross-functional access.
