TEEMA is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor in Texas to lead a high-performing claims team in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment. This role blends regulatory expertise with hands-on leadership, mentorship, and client engagement to deliver accurate claims handling and exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has extensive supervisory experience in workers’ compensation, strong knowledge of Texas statutes, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in workers’ compensation claims.
• Strong knowledge of Texas workers’ compensation statutes and regulations.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience supervising staff in high-volume environments.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience handling Texas public entity/school district claims preferred.
• Analytical/problem-solving and strong deadlines orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support Claims Examiners, Assistants, and staff.
• Monitor attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters.
• Review claims activity, initial reviews, ongoing management, delays, denials.
• Approve reserve changes up to $250,000 and payments up to $10,000.
• Ensure compliance with Texas workers’ compensation laws and internal procedures.
• Coordinate and lead regulatory training sessions.
• Staff caseloads appropriately and manage efficiently.
• Approve priority payments and sign checks as required.
• Respond to claimants, vendors, and clients promptly.
• Monitor vendor performance and adjust panels as needed.
• Prepare monthly client reports and participate in audits.
• Attend client file reviews and meetings; support RFPs and service initiatives.
