Job summary

The Secca Search Group seeks a Vice President of Land Acquisition & Development to lead identification, acquisition, entitlement, and development of residential land in a high-growth Texas market.

This senior leader will build a robust land pipeline, manage relationships with landowners and homebuilders, evaluate opportunities, and guide projects from initial acquisition through finished lots.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in residential land acquisition or development.
• Experience acquiring and/or developing residential land.
• Strong understanding of the residential development and homebuilding process.
• Established relationships with landowners, brokers, homebuilders, municipalities, and industry professionals.
• Experience evaluating land acquisitions and development economics.
• Strong negotiation, financial analysis, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification and acquisition of residential land opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, homebuilders and municipalities.
• Evaluate acquisitions including market conditions, land values, development costs, and feasibility.
• Lead negotiations, due diligence, and closings.
• Oversee entitlement and development strategies from concept to finished lots.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, consultants, attorneys, and municipalities.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and development costs.
• Build and maintain a long-term land pipeline aligned with growth objectives.
• Identify opportunities for partnerships, joint ventures, and other structures.
• Provide senior leadership with recommendations on acquisitions and market opportunities.
• Help expand presence in targeted Texas markets.
